Handmade and decorated with hand-sponged hearts in different sizes and shades, these beautiful mugs are the perfect thoughtful gift for that special someone this Valentine’s Day.

Is there any better Valentine’s gift than matching mugs for you and your partner? Sitting side by side on the bedside locker or stacked up in the press, they can feel like a little physical manifestation of your relationship. Plus, it even further incentivises a morning cuppa enjoyed in bed, which is a cornerstone of any good relationship.

The eleventh limited edition run of extra special Nicholas Mosse mugs, the Valentine’s designs are adorable, made by hand, and crafted in the restored 19th-century mill at Bennettsbridge, Co Kilkenny.

Every Nicholas Mosse piece is made using traditional techniques and a meticulous 20-step process. The pottery’s distinctive spongeware patterns are applied by hand, a method that ensures each creation is truly one of a kind. Artist Susan Mosse, who designs each new pattern, draws inspiration from the wildflowers, hedgerows, and gardens that surround the family studio.
