Parisian favourite Rouje launches new SS19 collection

As the summer months edge ever closer (and with the weather lately, you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s already here), our sartorial musings are turning towards spring fashion, and the labels that always have the best inspiration. As Paris Fashion Week has progressed, we’ve all been setting our sights to the SS 19 collections that will soon be released, and none more fervently than Rouje.

One of our most enduring Parisian style icons is Jeanne Damas; the Instagram favourite whose effortless style and instantly recognisable French flair has garnered her a million followers, as well as her own design label Rouje. And yesterday, their summer stylings finally went live, and it’s everything we had hoped for. Elegant floral prints adorn simple silhouettes, with suede and leather accents in the shoes and handbags to add an edge to the looks. All the Parisian favourites are there, with perfect blue jeans, simple cardigans that almost look homemade, and slinky skirts and dresses all present. But it’s the touches that feel particularly 2019, such as scrunchies, woven purses and corduroy blazers that take centre stage.

Parisian sophistication is the perfect place to look for summer style influence. French women’s effortlessly chic and feminine stylings provide the perfect inspiration for warm weather clothing choices — think demure sundresses, elegant strappy sandals, cat-eye sunglasses, and feminine cardigans and sweaters for chilly evenings. Add a suntan (out of a bottle of course), a swipe of red lipstick and you’re set.
