According to @style.analytics, a fashion forecasting account on Instagram, in the US, searches for ‘suede’ and ‘suede jackets’ are up 240% and 1,900% on Pinterest in the past year, while in the UK, interest in ‘suede jackets’ and ‘suede bags’ has increased by 200% and 160% respectively.
Interestingly, the rest of Europe has yet to catch up—searches featuring the word ‘suede’ have so far been limited specifically to a pair of suede Puma trainers—but with the likes of Chloe, Miu Miu and other luxury retailers relying heavily on the fabric in their new collections, it’s only a matter of time before it becomes a coveted material here too. Boho is back, don’t you know?!
Ideal for AW—when dark chocolate and caramel tones reign supreme—a quality piece will definitely set you back but one good buy will last you years.
