Travel insider: Celeb make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury shares her Ibiza hot spots

Celebrity makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury has just unveiled a new six-shade palette inspired by Ibiza, the island where she grew up. To celebrate its launch, we asked her to open up her little black book and share some of her favourite spots on the Balearic Isle

The restaurant: “Sunset Ashram for incredible views of the island, especially at sunset – Ibizan sunsets are famous for their transfixing beauty and the colours inspired the shades in my Charlotte Darling palette! I always get all of my family and friends from Ibiza together here for a big dinner party!”

The hotel: “My parents still live in Ibiza so when I visit, I’ll stay at my family home which is on the northside of the island.”

The beach: “So much of my childhood was spent discovering the beauty of the island. There are so many incredible beaches in Ibiza, many of which have inspired the names of my products like Las Salinas and Moon Beach.”

The local designer: “De La Vali – founded by two gorgeous women who grew up in Ibiza. Their bohemian-inspired designs and free-flowing dresses really embody the spirit and style of the island!”

The market: “Growing up I was obsessed with local hippy markets like Las Dalias – I would always be there buying trinkets and treasures, many of which I still have today. The smell of patchouli oil, which I used in my signature fragrance Scent of a Dream, reminds me of the markets!”

The club: “Pacha will always be one of my favourite clubs in Ibiza. Last summer I went with my gorgeous nieces Sofia and Bella and we danced the night away, it was so much fun!”

The day trip:  “For a day trip, one of my favourite places to visit is Tagomago Island — it is the most beautiful private island, just off the coast of Ibiza where I spent a lot of my childhood with my father, mother and sister.”
