Nail trends to try on for January

Nail trends to try on for January

Nail trends take a dive over Christmas with the near-universal descent of red, glitter and the occasional snowflake. For January, say goodbye to red and try these trends on for size…

Anyone else absolutely and completely bored of seeing endless red nails? I am not a fair-weather red wearer – I’m an all year round kind of gal. This January I’ve been scouring Instagram for anything resembling a new nail trend, and I’ve identified three I’d try myself.

Rainbow nails

Why choose one colour when you could choose five? Or ten? Embracing mismatched nails can be a process, but the fun you can have is worth it.

Asymmetrical shapes

Your nails need to be fairly long (or your acrylics need extending) for this look, but there’s something very cool and new about an asymmetrical tip.

Natural marbling

A subtle white marbling on a natural or nude nail is another trend that’ll be big news for 2020. This one is ideal for those who want to ease their way into nail art without too big of a commitment. Perfect for those not into ‘loud’ nails.
