The Best Purple Lipstick Your Money Can Buy

11th Aug 2015

Ever since Rihanna stepped out with shockingly purple lips, the hue du jour has become the hue of the season; everybody’s doing it. Aren’t you? Graduating from more natural pink or red tones to something as strong as purple can be quite the leap, and your grandparents, God love them, probably won’t get the new ‘look’, so it’s important you go at your own pace. Plums are a good starting point for most skin tones.

As with your standard cornerstone lipstick shades, there’s an overwhelming amount of choice out there when it comes to the weird and wonderful world of purple. On one end of the spectrum you’ve got your pastel, lilac shades which are rather difficult for pale Irish skin to pull off, while on the other, you’ve got berry-coloured shades that work wonders in winter. Nevertheless, wherever on the scale of Rihanna to Morticia Adams?you may find yourself, here we round up some sweetest, purpley options for your perusal.
