The Best AW17 Beauty Looks From London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week has never been conventional in terms of fashion or beauty; everything’s a bit out there, a bit kooky in a very good way. And yet the designers’ unique take on beauty trends always translate well; you can guarantee that at least one of the looks will be one you’ll try yourself or at the very least, perfect for a special occasion. Below are our favourite AW17 beauty trends from LFW:

Smudged lips

topshop

The lips at Preen and Topshop were blurry and smudged, to create a more natural effect and red was the signature colour so expect to see many crimson lips into next season.

Center-partings

At Roksanda and Erdem, the strictly down the center of the scalp hair parting added structure to the whimsical, romantic clothing and added definition to the face.

Eye-catching colour

house%20of%20holland

It’s always a relief to see some colour on an AW runway and we loved the colourful rainbow eye at the House of Holland show in particular. Models wore shades of orange and jade on the lid, with purple glitter shimmering from the inner eye. It might seem a tad extreme, but the resulting affect is subtle-yet-effective.

Gold shimmer

ashley-isham

You have iconic makeup artist Pat McGrath to thank for the influx of glitter lips you’ve seen everywhere – from Instagram to the red carpet?- and now the LFW?Ashley Isham runway. Gold glitter might be hard to pull off going to the office but come winter this year, it will make you stand out from the crowd – just keep the rest of the face neutral.

Crown Jewels

Toga, Ashley Williams, and Tata Naka all showed their unique take on fall hair accessories with floral clippings. ?Florals are big this SS17 and this trend means you can keep the look even into autumn and winter.
