Our Favourite Summer Fragrances

Our Favourite Summer Fragrances

When the temperature rises, our beauty habits tend to change. We shed the full coverage foundations (and so should you) in favour of a lighter BB cream or the like, and we also want to smell a little lighter, a little more like holidays! Gone are the heavier wintery scents, it’s time for our favourite summer fragrances. ?We want to feel fresh and zesty and be able to spritz our way through the day without overloading it (or making our colleagues gag).?We did a round up in IMAGE HQ and here’s our summer fragrance hit lists…

4 Stella McCartney

I still adore Stella McCartney’s signature fragrance, and this limited edition piece from Print Collection reminds me of those beautiful Portuguese tiles, ?and holidays in Lisbon.

Byredo gypsy water

Especially in Summer, I love to keep my scent light and Byredo’s Hair Perfume gives off just the right amount of olfactory stimulation in every head swish. I use a low-fragrance shampoo, then spritz with Gypsy Water (my favourite – it’s all bergamot, lemon and juniper, with amber and pine needles to deepen), which nourishes as it fragrances.

diptyque philosykos

Philosykos is my all-time favourite summer fragrance that I have worn since I first found it in Space NK back in the mid-nineties! I adore the French perfume house Diptyque, and what this single note, light fig fragrance evokes for me; warm sunny fun-filled days that transports me back to a particular summer when I lived in London. As with all fragrances, it sparks memories but more than that, it has become somewhat of a signature fragrance for me with most of my friends recognising me by it.

roads_neon___medium (2)

I was gifted the ROADS fragrance box set recently and fell head over heels for the NEON scent, a combination of nutmeg, wild iris and a woody base – I love masculine scents. It’s now the official scent of summer 2015.
