My Life In Beauty: Rochelle Humes, musician, TV presenter and founder of the Instagram movement #curlslikeus

Musician, TV presenter and founder of the Instagram movement #curlslikeus, Rochelle Humes shares her beauty must-haves with HOLLY O’NEILL.

I always have in my make-up bag…
Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb, €17 – it’s the perfect nude lip gloss ever and looks good on all skin tones; and a ghd heat protect spray with UV protection, €15.50, to protect my hair from sun damage, as it gets so hot when I’m out in the sun all day.

My desert island essential
I always use a good lip balm, and nothing that’s too drying or too matte. I love the Glossier ones – Glossier Coconut Balm Dotcom, €10, is my favourite.

My nightstand staple
Elemis Pro-Collagen Advanced Eye Treatment, €53.50 – it’s a light eye serum that hydrates and wakes up my eyes.

The first thing I put on my skin in the morning
Garnier Micellar Water, €2.79. I use it as a cleanser to get everything off by double cleansing, but this is super-gentle on my skin and so easy to use.

Before bed…
I always cleanse and remove my make-up.

The best beauty advice I ever received
Everything I do I have picked up from make-up artists. Doing your eye make-up first is a basic tip, but it’s so important, so that the eye make-up doesn’t run onto the rest of your look.

Lifelong lipstick loves
Spice lipliner by MAC, €17.50, and Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb, €17.

Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick, €77

The foundation I always return to
Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick, €77 – it’s amazing. I got the recommendation from my make-up artist. It’s really dewy, and it’s a stick, so you just rub it on and then buff it in.

Everyone should try…
Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Multipurpose Ointment, €12.95 – it smells like honey, and I use it on myself as a highlighter or lip balm, as well as on the kids.

Hair ambitions
I like balayage – light ends with a darker root – but I’m trying not to do that at the moment; I’m not having any colour on my hair right now, as I’m really trying to look after it and improve its condition.

The beauty appointment I never miss
A facial at Face Gym.

Chloé Eau de Parfum, €104 for 75ml

My signature scent
Chloé Eau de Parfum, €104 for 75ml, has always been my favourite, and it’s my husband Marvin’s favourite too. It’s what I wore on my wedding day. Marvin knows that scent anywhere – he’s obsessed with it.

I never travel without…
ghd Curl Hold Spray, €15.50 – it’s a light spray that helps define my curls and keep them in place.

ghd Curl Hold Spray, €15.50

All-round beauty essential
Coconut oil. I use it for everything – face, hair, cooking, on the girls when they were babies instead of moisturiser… it makes skin so soft.

Whats the last beauty item you bought?
I stocked up on Glossier Coconut Balm Dotcom, €10.

Tell us about #curlslikeus…
I initially wanted to get tips from other people and share things I found helpful using #curlslikeus and it just became a lot bigger than I anticipated. I wanted to show people that what’s natural to you is often what suits you best, and doing it might make people love their curls.
