Crazy Contouring: Dramatic Contouring Is All The Rage

The idea of contouring has been around the beauty circuit for a while now.?Contouring, a technique previously reserved for runway models and fancy photo shoots, is now becoming part of the’daily routines of many, but lately we’re seeing contouring going to a whole new level, particularly on social media. Beauty bloggers and makeup artists alike are testing their contouring skills to the max and posting them for the world to see – and the results are fairly dramatic. In some cases they enhance the face, but in others, we think they utterly transform the facial features of the person. Is this good or bad? We would say neither, because it really depends on your personal preference and if you’re going for a more structured look.

For those that don’t know, Contouring is giving shape to an area of the face and enhancing the facial structure through makeup, highlighting various points on the face using powders and so on. According to a few beauty bloggers, it’s supposed to be a subtle definition and not so noticeable, but we’ve come across some amazing snaps where contouring is getting amped up for a more dramatic affect. Some of these are so intricate that they have only to be admired; we’d love to be able to enhance our own faces in this way for our next big night out. We’ve rounded up a few of our favourite examples of what we think is seriously dramatic contouring below:

Just did the #sugarskull #contouring ! If you don’t know what it is, you make yourself look like a sugar skull with #highlighting and contouring products then blend out to get a finished normal look I made a video on it but I have a lot of other videos to upload but it will be up soon ??
