BEAUTY VIDEO: The New Skin

This season’s beauty looks are some of the freshest we’ve seen in a while. A delightful juxtaposition of propositions; graphic lines merge with subtle stains, dark toned lips mix with ethereal glitters, eyeliner gets a real girl re-work, and skin is fresh and sublime.

At the shows, make-up artists more than answered the call to create – their skill showcased via the interplay between precise technique and undone individuality. Which will you choose? Whichever you like – just harness your creativity and experiment – You’re in control, and it’s time to play!

THE NEW SKIN

This season brings the skin we’ve been craving. Make-up artists pushed back against the contour brigade and applied diaphanous layers of light foundations, creating buffed, blurred bases with glowing, rosy cheeks more reminiscent of Botticelli’s blushing angels than the sculpted beauty of previous seasons. Skin tones are natural, skin texture can be seen; no blanked-out canvases here, just perfectly primed, pretty skin.

?We don’t want to see that trickery of highlights and contours now; it just smacks of social media make-up.?
