Beauty Trend Alert: Quilted Eyes, The New Smoky Eye

See More Photos
New beauty trend alert! Unleashed on the AW16 Chanel catwalk, with IT Girl Gigi Hadid at the forefront, this year it’s all about the quilted eye make-up look. Too daring for some, yet subtle enough to not give people a fright, this trend is one for the hardcore Chanel fans, who simply can’t get enough of all things quilted. It’s the new smoky eye and it sure as hell won’t cost you as much as a signature Chanel quilted bag. Sticking with muted colours, it’s actually an incredibly chic look that takes your eye shadow from the lash line right up to the brow. They key with this look is to leave the drama to the eyelids alone, and stay away from harsh liquid liners or heavy contouring. Keep your face paired back with a soft pink lip, a slick of black mascara and let your eyes do the talking.

To create this look, grab yourself a piece of plastic mesh and gently glide your eyeshadow over. Easy peasy!

Brilliant makeup @tompecheux Love you! + thank you to this random local bread maker for being patient
