Does anyone else’s skin currently feel like sandpaper? At this time of year, dry skin is sadly the norm – it’s all that to-ing and fro-ing from cold wind to warm heat that does it. You’ll need more than a good moisturiser to cut it and products that pack a bit more punch. With this in mind, here’s our pick of four favourite products that we deem winter skin saviours – perfect if your skin needs some TLC.

The Serum

Clarins HydraQuench Intensive Serum Bi-Phase, approx. €56
Ticking off hydration and softness in one swoop, this is a failsafe serum. Its purpose is to successfully quench dry skin, and its concentration of hyaluronic acid ensures that you get a moisture hit that instantly refreshes and softens the skin.

The Moisturisee

Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief, approx. €45

This is a revamped version of the original Moisture Surge. It contains micro-molecules, used for quicker and more efficient moisturisation. It’s like drinking a big glass of water – but for your face.  It instantly absorbs into the skin. This is in a pricier bracket, but it will last ages as a pea-sized amount per go works wonders. The cream is also great for evaporating that awful ‘tight’ feeling that comes when your skin is uncomfortably dry.

The Exfoliator

Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Skin Brightening Exfoliator, approx. €29

Clinically proven to help reverse skin discolouration, this high-performance scrub packs a powerful punch if you’re looking to improve skin clarity and minimise skin irregularities.

The Face Mask

Skinceuticals Clarifying Clay Masque, approx. €56

This powerful mask works to lift impurities thanks to its clay and botanical extracts, and a hydroxy acid blend, that helps to gently exfoliate. It also contains Zinc oxide and chamomile work to soothe and reduce inflammation.
