Let’s be honest, there’s no proper rest for parents on a holiday. All-inclusive holidays are not exactly ‘travel’, but they are mind expanding, they are oh-so-restful-and-replenishing for parents and they are staying on this writer's holiday rotation for the foreseeable future.

Like all snobs, I have a very clear idea of what’s good and what’s bad. And that clarity applies to travel – I know exactly what constitutes ‘great’ travel.
