With a swimming pool, wine cellar, gym and sea views, this Killiney home is on sale for €5.95 million

Overlooking the sea, with extensive gardens, a separate pool house, and a spacious interior, this home is nothing if not impressive.

Combining traditional features with every modern amenity you could imagine, St Ann’s sits off Killiney Hill Road in Dublin. While the original house was built in the Victorian era and has many of its original features, it has been extended to the side, adding a contemporary kitchen, dining space and terrace, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows.

The main house has three levels, with a large entrance hallway, a library, and interconnected drawing room and dining room all on the ground floor. Each has period features such as high ceilings, sash windows and decorative coving. Many of the rooms have views of the sea thanks to the home’s elevated position.

The modern kitchen has a sleek, minimalist design and also has useful spaces off it, including a laundry room and boot room.

There are five bedrooms in the main house, including the main suite which spans the whole width of the house, comprising a dressing room and two ensuites. The dressing room has custom designed mahogany fitted wardrobes, and both bathrooms feel luxurious and spacious.

On the lower garden level there is a wine cellar, a family room, a games room and a shower room, giving a wide variety of spaces to gather and relax.

In addition to the main house, there is also a detached mews. It features an indoor swimming pool, changing rooms, a gym and a space for guests, including three bedrooms, two kitchens, and two living spaces. It also has its own sun terrace with a built-in barbecue.

The large terraced garden is mature, adding to the sense of privacy, and has many flowering trees including magnolia, cherry blossom and horse chestnut.

Located just a short walk from Killiney beach and the centre of Killiney with its popular shops, cafes and restaurants, this home is also well located.
