About Clare Anne Taylor
Clare Taylor launched Clare Anne Taylor Couture Cakes as a microenterprise in 2017. Starting from her kitchen at home, Clare has grown the business to become one of Ireland’s foremost designers of luxury cakes and confections for weddings and celebrations.
Working with some of Ireland’s leading event planners, five-star hotels and individual clients, the business has grown in reputation and scale. Her and her team have recently moved to a purpose designed pastry kitchen and offices in Newtownmountkennedy, Co Wicklow, bringing her luxurious creations to a wider market.
Clare’s design skill and talent were honed over ten years working with renowned Michelin chefs in some of the great pastry kitchens in Ireland and the UK. After attending Ballymaloe Cookery School, Clare spent almost seven years training and working as a pastry chef at top-notch venues like The Ritz London and Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons.
Throughout her career, she has achieved multiple honours, including the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts Award of Excellence, Republic of Ireland Prestige Award 2020, RSVP Best Bridal Cakes 2020, Bronze at 2021 Blas Na hEireann Awards and Finalist for Wedding Cake Designer of the Year in Weddings Online Awards 2021.
Renowned pastry chef Clare Anne Taylor is best known for her Couture range of elegant, bespoke wedding cake creations. These cakes are more readily available on three-day order from a select group of retailers of fine foods and online through click and collect.
