The Designed Table has teamed up with Tamso Doyle for a beautiful collaboration

The Irish table linen brand has launched its first collaboration, and it’s full of intricate floral prints, as well as complementary accessories.

Founder of The Designed Table, the Irish brand known for its range of table linens, napkins and placemats all ideal for creating the perfect tablescape, has teamed up with Tamso Doyle for a new collection.

The range, which is available online now, or in select Avoca stores from mid-October, features a new collection of prints.

“I always wanted my first collaboration to be with a friend,” says Tara. “I’ve known Tamso for over 20 years and we have so much in common – we both live in Kildare, love entertaining and the countryside around us, and we both have a particular love of nature and flowers. We’re also both busy mums and enjoy mealtimes around the table with family and friends, setting the table for every meal.”

The collection contains two new prints – Pomegranate and Tamarisk. Inspiration for the Tamarisk tablecloth comes from the fact that Tamso is named after the tamarisk flower. Tara has created a tablescape to work with the prints, pairing them with napkins in two new colourways – moss green and claret, which are especially perfect for autumn and winter table settings, while the new print will work with tablescapes throughout the year.

“Living in the countryside, I love to bring a bit of the garden into my kitchen and dining tables and this print reflects the garden – it is both practical and pretty,” says Tamso.

“I love to set the table for every meal, to create a sense of occasion and encourage family time. We often have people coming to the house so it’s nice to keep the table dressed with fine linens and fresh flowers from the garden. Life is short – enjoy the good pieces. I loved doing this collaboration with Tara. We both love to entertain and create beautiful occasions for our friends and family.”
