The orange-pink shade is described as gentle, warm and cosy.

Pantone has announced that its colour of the year for 2024 is a soft orange-pink shade called “Peach Fuzz”.

Leatrice Eiseman, Pantone’s executive director, describes the shade as a “velvety peach tone” meant to represent “our desire to nurture ourselves and others”.

“In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a colour radiant with warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless.”

We’re not sure about that, but this gentle shade is one that will work well in our homes. More playful than the earthy terracotta tones we’ve been seeing recently but with all of the same warmth.

While it will complement a range of neutral tones, it also pairs well with soft greens and  blues. Depending on how it’s styled, we can see it evoking everything from a Palm Springs vibe to a fresh take on warm, calm spaces.

Here are some pieces to add it to your home.
