Hope Macaulay has launched a cushion range, perfect for adding joyful colour to your space

Hope Macaulay has launched a cushion range, perfect for adding joyful colour to your space

The Northern Irish designer’s knitwear is a celebrity favourite, and we’re sure her homeware will be just as popular.

Designer Hope Macauley is best known for her colourful knitwear creations, with her chunky cardigans and jumpers being spotted on celebrities including Naomi Osaka, Rosalía, Jennifer Hudson, and Billie Piper.

Each one of her pieces is handmade by a team of 15 knitters in her native Northern Ireland, but her designs have fans across the globe, thanks to their distinctive colourful and chunky style.

Homeware fans can now add the same look to their spaces thanks to the brand’s new cushion.

The idea came when Hope and her team were thinking of ways to use their scrap fabric left over from making garments, and thought that using it as a cushion filling would work well. The lining of the cushion is also made from leftover fabric sourced from clothing factories.

The first cushion in the collection is inspired by their best-selling piece, the Bella Colossal Knit Jacket. The Bella cushion consists of pastel pink, cream and mustard colour blocking and large patchwork stitching.

There is also a matching blanket, the Bella Colossal Knit Blanket, both made in luxuriously soft merino wool.

Each cushion is made to order, and costs £230, available to order from Friday, January 6 on hopemacaulay.com.

We can’t wait to see what other pieces might be added to her homeware range, watch this space!
