Get the look: an earthy pastel bedroom full of contrasting textures

If you want to give your bedroom a pastel-toned makeover, take inspiration from this gorgeously curated space.

Our bedrooms really are our sanctuaries at the moment, the place we can retreat to at the end of the day to unwind. However, if yours isn’t quite living up to the brief, it’s good to look around for inspiration for ways to create the mood you’d love.

This pastel-toned bedroom from Norsu Interiors is full of great ideas. Its soft complementary tones create a totally restful atmosphere, while it introduces tactility in some key ways to make it feel welcoming and cosy. Here’s how to recreate the look for yourself.

The palette

Although the colours are subtle, this room avoids feeling insipid by layering plenty of different earthy pastels together. From the walls, to the cushions, to the print on the wall, there is lots of variety, but sticking to complementary shades, all with a dusky tone, keeps everything feeling calm and cohesive.

The textures

A variety of textures adds richness and comfort to the space. From a shaggy throw to velvety cushions, there’s plenty that you’d want to run your hands over, and each adds another layer of cosiness, too.

The furniture

This space keeps things feeling calm with pared-back furniture, while wood in pale shades works well with the chosen colour palette. There’s also a few curves thrown in too, which softens everything up a bit.

The details

From the gorgeous print to some bedside trinkets, the finishing touches of this room make all the difference to the final look, and they add great personality to the space. There is endless scope here to find bits and pieces that you love, and even the more functional items can still fit into your palette.
