Five foodie events coming up around Ireland to put in your calendar

They say nothing brings people together quite like food can, and looking at the upcoming calendar of events taking place across Ireland, it couldn’t be more true. From lobster festivals to the biggest of grills, here’s what’s coming up…

Hen’s Teeth monthly market

6 & 7 August, Blackpitts, Merchant’s Quay and Hen’s Teeth Studio, Block A, Mill Street, Dublin

Hen’s Teeth beloved markets are returning this weekend with a serious lineup of running across both of their Dublin locations. Hosting more than 20 traders featuring some of Ireland’s most exciting, emerging contemporary homeware, lifestyle and fashion creatives and entrepreneurs, the first edition is a biggie. Bringing together music, excellent brands, and most importantly, good food, you don’t want to miss the big old BBQ.

The Big Grill Festival

11-14 August, Herbert Park, Ballsbridge, Dublin

For four days only, Herbert Park is being transformed into a sea of fire, food and fun for 2022’s The Big Grill Festival. Returning with their biggest lineup to date, there’s set to be over 50 chefs making an appearance over the course of the festival, in excess of 20 restaurants, and a whole lot of tastings, demonstrations and educational talks. There’s also going to be a new long table feast, chilli eating challenges, and live music sets from DJs, brass bands, and home grown musicians. Check out the lineup here.

Cork on a Fork Festival

A citywide celebration of food and the county’s ever-evolving dining scene, Cork on a Fork consists of five days of unique experiences, food trails, tasting masterclasses, street events, bite-size food talks, cooking demos and free events. Making good use of local ingredients, these culinary experiences invite guests to discover the incredible range of local producers and enjoy the buzz of the city’s vibrant new outdoor dining scene.
