Busy Philipps just sold her quirky LA home for €3.2 million: Take a look inside

Anyone who follows Busy Philipps one Instagram is familiar with her kitchen floor, but now you can take a tour of the entire home.

If you follow Busy Philipps on Instagram (and if you don’t, you absolutely should), you’re probably very familiar with her historian home in the Hollywood Hills, in particular the kitchen floor.

You’ll also know that the Dawson’s Creek and Cougar Town alum and her family have recently traded coasts, moving to New York City where Philipps is filming Tina Fey’s new TV show, Girls5Eva.

The entire family, including her screenwriter husband Marc Silverman, two daughters Birdie and Cricket, and the latest addition Gina the cockapoo, are all now east-coast based and Busy has recently revealed that their LA home had just been sold.

Naturally, that piqued my interest to have a proper nosey around the house.

The house, a 1923 Mediterranean Revival home that they’ve lived in for over a decade, sold for €3.2 million, according to their listing on Bryant Reichling. The five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom home is spread across 476 square metres and tucked into a secluded promontory.

The historic architecture gives this place plenty of charm, complemented by modern additions, fun wallpaper in the dining room and master suite, and huge windows that capture the lush vegetation outside. The living room is double-fronted and swimming with daylight, with vaulted ceilings and an ornate tile fireplace.

The main bedrooms suite is also on the entry floor with doors out onto the garden, while upstairs there’s another bedroom suite, two more bedrooms and a library area.

As well as a large Mediterranean-style garden, a pool and guest apartment, the house also has an incredible roof terrace, with sprawling views of downtown Hollywood and the hills. Perfect for sundowners.
