The Bohemian Bride

  • by IMAGE

One of my favorite aspects of any wedding is what the bride had as their something old. This may come in the form of her grandmother's earrings, mother's veil or perhaps a piece of her dad's (ex) favorite shirt, sewn into the lining of her dress. Most of us are suckers for sentimentality, especially when our connection to the past is so essential to paving our future path.

Ruth Dempsey, owner of one of our current favourite vintage hubs?Moody Blue Vintage, understands the importance of celebrating the past, in the present - so if she ever ties the knot, it's bound to be a gorgeous representation of her mufti-faceted self. Lucky then, that she's planning the launch of Moody Blue Bridal, later this year.

?Most wedding dresses are one-of-a-kind but with vintage it's a whole different ballgame?, says Ruth, suggesting a world of Bridol possibilities ahead. As for her own dream bride? ?It has got to be June Carter, hands down? I love the short wedding dress. As a shorty myself, I feel I would look like some sort of frosted dessert in anything longer.?

BASH got a glimpse at the mood boards of Ruth's wedding dreams and we liked what we saw...
