Day One Of The Royal Tour To Poland And The Style Is Gorgeous

Day One Of The Royal Tour To Poland And The Style Is Gorgeous

The five-day royal tour to Poland and Germany has begun and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were the epitome of poise and style as they disembarked in Warsaw.

Not at all like two people who have just survived the trauma that is flying with children. Kate looked unbelievably crisp and fresh in Alexander McQueen while the Duke was completely unruffled.

Two-year-old Charlotte stole the style show with ease in adorable red shoes and a printed smocked dress that looked to be straight out of Liberty.

The first day of the tour concluded with a garden party in the Orangery in azienki Park to celebrate the Queen’s birthday. Kate changed into a slightly more contemporary dress for the occasion.

The edgy monochrome piece, featuring sculptural panels and a delicate floral embellishment at the waist, is by Polish designer, Gosia Baczynska. The sartorial gesture is not only an act of diplomacy but also very much a departure for the conservative Kate.

The Duchess’ dress is thought to be a custom creation, commissioned by Kate’s stylist and based on a piece featured in the designers AW16 collection last year, entitled Back To The Future – apt for a thoroughly modern princess.
