John Legend And Chrissy Teigen Announce Pregnancy

Weeks after opening up about her struggles with fertility, Chrissy Teigen has some happy news.

Last night, model and future cookbook writer Chrissy Teigen announced via Instagram, of course, that she and her husband John Legend were expecting their first child together. Teigen posted a black-and-white image of the two to her social media account. In it Chrissy is lying down on a couch?while the father-to-be touches her stomach. Can we get a unanimous “Awwwwwwww….” please?

Teigen captioned the photo:

“John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant 🙂 As many of you know, we’ve been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn’t been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family. We’re so excited that it’s finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching! Xx”

Teigen referred to her struggle with fertility in the post, an issue she only recently opened up about. Last month the model sat down with Tyra Banks for the America’s?Next Top Model’s?new chat and lifestyle show FABLife to talk about the bond they both share. Banks revealed her failed attempts at IVF?while Teigen went on the record about her trouble conceiving. Teigen, who has been married to Legend since 2013, said that she was constantly asked about when she was starting a family. Something which was actually very hurtful because it wasn’t happening for her at the time, ?So, anytime somebody asks me if I’m going to have kids, I’m like, ?One day, you’re going to ask that to the wrong girl who is really struggling, and it’s going to be really hurtful to them.? And I hate that. So, I hate it. Stop asking me.?

In a world of bump-watching and constant tabloid speculation, Chrissy Teigen’s honest words read like an impassioned plea for some privacy. You never know what exactly someone else is going through in their private and personal lifes.
