The Kardashians Recorded A Song For Kris Jenner’s Birthday

The Kardashians Recorded A Song For Kris Jenner’s Birthday

Never one to let a milestone Birthday go unseen by the entire world, Kris Jenner celebrated her 60th at the weekend with an all-together glamorous Gatsby-themed bash and there were so many pictures, it was as if we were physically present. It was completely big and brash as only the Kardashian clan knows how (Kylie’s gown was out-of-this-world amazing, just FYI) but the do was utterly over-the-top fabulous.

What had most of us talking, though, was the very special Birthday gift that all the Kardashian/Jenner gals recorded for their mum’s big day.

To mark the occasion, Kylie, Kendall, Khlo?, Kim, and Kourtney remade her 30th birthday song. The original video, which features a reinterpretation of Randy Newman’s ’80s classic “I Love L.A.,” shows Kris driving around, singing about her friends and her favorite places in the city. It was clearly of the era, as you’ll see below.

Anyhow, her daughters uploaded that video, plus one of themselves singing a new version of the song (towards the end of the clip), updated for our modern times. And yes, they’re singing themselves. This is is one of those ?it’s so bad it’s actually kinda good? moments because the video, though a sweet effort, is completely cringey.

However, the clip presents a rare moment. We get to see the girls (who presumably aren’t thinking of foraging careers as singers), being utterly normal and crap in the vocal department – they could have chosen to get professional singers in (or had Kanye rap – that would have been good), but they didn’t. They chose just to be themselves; real and crap and hence, their efforts are worth a listen.
