Are you excited for Mad Max: Fury Road? We're almost afraid to read the universally ecstatic reviews in case they contain any spoilers; that's how exciting the Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy starring movie looks.
Last night saw the Irish premiere of the apocalyptic surefire blockbuster. The Savoy cinema on O'Connell Street had drummers beating a dystopian drum beat outside, as some of Ireland's leading showbiz personalities arrived on the red carpet.
Gail Kaneswaren, Jenny Drea and January Russell represented Ireland's models, in a nod to the fact that Mad Max: Fury Road sees the beloved British model Rosie Huntingdon-Whiteley make the transition from catwalk to camera. RTE's Stephen Byrne and Blaithnaid Treacy were also in attendance. Rugby players Jack McGrath, Mike McCarthy, Tom Denton, Devin Toner and Jimmy Gopperth also came out to enjoy the movie that is on general release now.
