This Netflix original comedy series is inspired by the 2014 best-selling autobiography?of Nasty Gal founder Sophia Amoruso, who went from selling vintage clothes on eBay to building a multi-million dollar fashion empire while still in her 20s. Created by Kay Cannon (Pitch Perfect and 30 Rock) and executive produced by Charlize Theron, Laverne McKinnon, Beth Kono, Christian Ditter and Sophia Amoruso herself.
DEAR WHITE PEOPLE
Based on the 2014 movie, this Netflix original series caused outrage and was claimed as being racist towards white people in its endeavour to promote black issues. Our advice would be to watch the movie and series before jumping to conclusions and judging it by its name.
