Had you really stopped to consider that this might actually happen? We certainly hadn’t. Not really.
As a result, we are all absolutely shook.
Lady Gaga has already been out protesting at Trump Tower, sharing the message that Love Trumps Hate. This is important – to exercise tolerance and compassion in the face of condemnation, judgement or hatred.
We have grappled with how this could have happened, considered the consequences, looked back at the most important things to know about this election, and even created The IMAGE Guide To The Apocalypse?in the event of a Trump victory.?
When you consider all the xenophobia, racism, religious discrimination, homophobia and misogyny that has made this possible, it’s easy to feel defeated. It’s okay for today to feel devastated and traumatised and afraid. But this isn’t the time to give up, it’s the time to fight harder and shout louder. The determination and love of everyone that Trump has stood against will be stronger for this day, and that will be Trump’s final and eternal legacy.
Here is how the world of Twitter dealt the the news this morning.
We hoped to cheer on the first female US President today, but instead of being disheartened we know our work is needed now as much as ever

People ask why women don’t report sexual assault. You got your answer: a man can have double digit accusers & still be elected President.

What I learned on #ElectionNight: Being a racist, bigoted, prejudice, lying sexual predator is still more acceptable than being a woman.

I refuse to believe this many people have voted for Trump. It’s easier for me to believe we are SIMS and our player is having fun.
