Sarah Jessica Parker knows how to work the news cycle. First she shows up to the Met Gala with that hat on her head, and now she’s teasing her legion of fans with hints of a further Sex and the City movie.
Yesterday the actress was spotted leaving New York department store Bloomingdales in an outfit that harked back to the infamous opening frames of the critically panned Sex and the City 2. Big sunglasses, a simple and stunning white dress, flowing locks, amazing shoes, and an iconic medium brown bag from the iconic store.
SJP posted a photo of the excursion to Instagram, with the caption, ?Well. I guess the cat’s out of the (little brown) bag. As usual, we will keep you posted on every detail as we are able. I’m under strict gag order until then.?
Are your hopes of seeing all the gals back on screen brunching and bon dit-ing all a-kindle? Well, maybe take a seat. When E! News contacted the studio behind the first two films, Warner Bros. was to the point in their denial. The studio said that a third movie was not in development and distanced itself from the Instagram post.
In fact, it seems that we were all fooled by the great master that is advertising. Sarah Jessica Parker was on the promotion prowl for her shoe collection, which has yet to be stocked at Bloomingdales. While Carrie was a born columnist, it seems Ms. Parker was a born digital marketing manager.
Rumours of a third Sex and the City movie have been whirling for the past year, with show creator Michael Patrick King having admitted he feels the story of HBOs grown up girl gang is not yet finished. ?Sarah Jessica and I both know what the final chapter is,? he said last year. ?That doesn’t mean it will or should be told, but I do think there’s one story left.?
