Today is a great day for TV fans; first, the return of the much-anticipated new series of Twin Peaks was officially announced in the early hours of this morning – clear your calendars on Sunday, May 21st as we’ll be getting a two-hour premiere from David Lynch and Mark Frost, 25 years after the original series came to and end. Our logs will most definitely have something to say about it. ?

The new series picks up one year Diane Lockheart (played by the ever-chic Christine Baranski) decided to part ways with the Florricks and is poised to enter retirement. However, life sees her take another path thanks to a scheme that seeks to destroy both her reputation?and that of her goddaughter (played by Rose Leslie).
The show was helmed by Good Wife creators Michelle and Robert King and will see a familiar?face or two make an appearance throughout. If the below trailer is anything to go by, we’re in for a treat:
It’s set to premiere Stateside early next month, and fingers crossed we’re not waiting too long before it airs on our shores.
Will you be watching it?
