Watch: Irish Boy’s Reaction To Becoming A Big Brother Is Heartwarming

Nothing says heartwarming like a six-year-old boy crying tears of joy when he finds out he is going to become a big brother. That’s exactly what happened to Jake when his mum and dad, Tommy and Teresa Dooley, told him their pregnancy news. There’s no tantrum here; no outrage that a new sibling might take up some of the spotlight, just pure happiness.

Jake’s parents uploaded the reaction clip to Facebook only days ago after their trooper of a son couldn’t contain his emotions on hearing the wonderful news. The video has already been viewed over 500,000 times and we got all emotional as he sobbed, ?I’m so happy!?

To reveal the big news, Jake was given cards to read aloud on camera. “I know you have been wishing and praying for me for a long time now,” reads the first card. The next two cards add. “I’m sorry I took so long to get here. But I am here now – look at your T-shirt.”

Off-camera, Jake’s mum shows him a shirt that says, “This guy is going to be a big brother.”

Teresa Dooley told TODAY that she and her husband have struggled with fertility issues for some time, so the family have all the more reason to be overjoyed.

Commenting on the video, she added, “We have all cried all day, he is so happy and hasn’t left my side for a minute today, he will make the best big brother. Thank you so much for all the comments and well wishes, we are truly unbelievably so happy and thankful.”

We think Jake is going to make an incredible big brother. Watch the video above.
