There’s Still Time For a Winter Holiday

There’s Still Time For a Winter Holiday

Winter holidays may lack the sunkissed afterglow that gets work colleagues enthusing about how well you look, but they do win on one front for sure. The Instagram photo album. Snow speckled rooftops win everytime. We pick out three European cities ideal for a last-minute jaunt, and endless photo posing.

Edinburgh!
The Scottish capital is one of the most beautiful cities on earth, drenched in history and what we like to call Harry Potter Architecture. After all, JK Rowling did write the first novel in various caf’s around the city, including Nicolson’s Caf??anf The Elephant House. While a best-selling novel may not be lurking in the recesses of your Christmas brain, you’ll find plenty to inspire you in Edinburgh. Start by following the incredible Wilde Oates on Instagram for some snapping inspiration and then find yourself a whisky bar before you set about filtering the best photos.

Paris!
We love Paris in the spring time, we love Paris in the fall. We’d love some Paris in January too? The city of romance might be especially chilly this time of year, but it is still the most beautiful place on earth. Jet off, stock up on posh chocolates that don’t scream duty free, spend a weekend surviving on pastries and rare meat, feel zero qualms about posting filtered-to-the-nines photos of Ladur?e macaroons on Instagram. Before flying over be sure to follow Paris in Four Months on the ?gram to get insider tips to make this a minibreak to remember.

London!
Always the best option for a hastily planned jaunt, London town is a delight in January. However, you will need to pack some thermal vests in the carry-on. There is no shame in insulating yourself. Sexy can always wait until the heating is on. Ice skating in Somerset House, as seen on Leila Peterson’s must-follow Instagram, is a must and is up-and-running until January 11th. Have you any weekend plans?
