The Royal Baby Arrives!

Parents with Child

The most watched womb in the world is now empty. Kensington Palace have just announced that the Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to a baby girl. We can all breathe a sigh of relief. After weeks of media speculation, the second child of Kate Middleton and Prince William has arrived. You’ll all be glad to hear that it is a lovely, human baby (yes, there isn’t a whole lot of information we can give you just yet, as you can see), with ten fingers and ten toes. Mother and baby are said to be doing well. The bookies in the UK favoured the birth of a girl named Alice, so we shall see what name is announced in the coming hours.

St. Mary’s hospital in London has been swarmed by fans and media ever since the Duchess of Cambridge was taken in at 6am this morning with many, (including us) staring at the live feed of the door of the Lindo Wing since!

This little princess joins her big brother Prince George as they now make a family of four. Prince George – the future heir to the throne – was born in 2013 and his new little sister is fourth in line. It’s thought that Kate was overdue, given that she was expected to welcome her arrival in ‘mid to late April’. Media pens have been in place for two whole weeks, on the off chance that she might go early.

Congratulations!

Browse our gallery of pics, featuring lots of Kate’s pregnancy style, the royal wedding in 2011 and of course, their gorgeous baby boy George. For pics of the new leanbh, we’ll keep you posted!
