The Pitch 2019

Following on the from the incredible success of last year, The Pitch is back!

Last year, IMAGE and Samsung introduced The Pitch to Ireland – an unmatched opportunity where business leaders could pitch to win a career-changing prize worth up to €100,000.

After the incredible success last year, The Pitch is back and this year could be your chance to bring your career and your business to new heights.

Last year’s campaign involved searching the country for women who were breaking the mould in business, leading teams and companies to success and working with integrity, empathy and, above all, business brilliance. This year, we are looking for both businesswomen AND businessmen to apply for this once-in-a-career prize.

Jennifer Rock, CEO and founder of The Skin Nerd, was named 2018 winner after impressing the panel of judges with her business prowess and, of course, her strong pitch. The Skin Nerd, an online skincare consultancy, was founded by Jennifer to show skin the respect and care it needs.

Now, we’re back for 2019 and looking for a new business expert to crown as the winner of  The Pitch.

What is the Pitch?

The premise of the Pitch is simple — IMAGE and Samsung are looking for entrepreneurs and business owners who are on the ascent. We want self-starters with brilliant business acumen, who have developed an innovative idea (either a new product or service) from initial concept to commercial success.

This year, we are looking for both businesswomen AND businessmen to apply for this once-in-a-career prize.

We want to shine a light on these brilliant business leaders, and give them the opportunity to shine and grab every opportunity of success. With an amazing, once-in-a-career prize to be won, entrants will compete to change the course of their business future.

How does it work?

The process of entering the Pitch is easy.

Simply go to image.ie/thepitch and fill in your application form (with as much detail as possible) before the closing date of midnight, Monday, August 14th. The selected shortlist will then be invited to a venue in Dublin to take part in a live pitch on September 5, where it will be up to you to state your case by pitching to – and winning over – our esteemed judges.

Who are the judges?

Our panel of judges come with years of experience and know-how, two of which are well-known business icons. We are delighted to welcome back Jo Malone CBE, founder & creative director, Jo Loves and Bobby Kerr, broadcaster and founder of the Insomnia Coffee Company who will be joined by Linda Nolan, Marketing Director, Samsung Electronics Ireland and Clodagh Edwards, CEO, IMAGE Media.

As well as their business experience, these judges will be bringing insight from last year’s journey to The Pitch 2019. We are also delighted to introduce Jennifer Rock, Founder and CEO of The Skin Nerd and The Pitch winner 2018 to our judging panel.

What do I win?

If you are the winner of The Pitch 2019, you will take home an incredible prize worth up to €100,000 for you and your business. You – and your business team –  will be kitted out with a suite of Samsung mobile, business and boardroom technology suitable to your needs.

You will also receive a customised, multi-platform media package from IMAGE to promote your winning business. This will be tailored to the needs of the business and could include exposure in IMAGE magazine, our sister titles, on IMAGE.ie and across our social channels.

As the winner, you will also receive a digital marketing masterclass from leading Irish digital and social agency Teneo. This will introduce the strategies and tools critical to maximising the online presence of a business.

The vision behind this prize bundle is to further equip you and your business to reach new heights.

So, what are you waiting for? Get pitching!
