Spice up your life with a drizzling of honey and camel homeware

Now that the holiday dust has settled and we move on from all the festivities, we finally get to immerse ourselves in full hibernation mode. I mean, what else is there to do between now and April? We’re bringing our home accessories along for the snooze, abandoning the cold, wintery blues and are instead ready to melt into deeper, warmer hues of honey and camel homeware.

We’ve been sweet on honey (Spiced Honey was announced as Dulux’s 2019 colour of the year) for a while now so what better way to spice things up then with some glowing amber and deep, earthy tones. Great as a layered palette of neutrals, they also look great with a few pops of colours – think neon pink and ocean blues. Here’s our round-up of our favourite sandy homewares at the moment.

Beautifully handcrafted by artisan women in Ghana and Rwanda, this Woven Aurora Vase from Anthropologie promptly catches our attention through its intricate designs. Add in some flourishing white magnolias to freshen up a dull corner.

Woven Aurora Vase, €115, Anthropologie.

This cowhide rug from Ikea will spice up any room with its rich brown tones and unique markings. Place under a coffee table, or, if you’re feeling bold, throw over an armchair for a ranch-like feel.

If you’re looking for a subtle way to add a little character to a room, a print is a great tool for creating an atmosphere. This Tom Shaw print from Another Country is simply stunning and the deep brown hues radiate a sense of warmth.

Assynt Print, £295, Tom Shaw- Another Country.

Combining hand-blown glass and industrial metal, this table lamp has been created by a collaboration between Diesel and the luxurious Italian lighting brand Foscarini. It’s perfect for adding texture and depth to your interior and creating a unique style statement in your home.

If it’s an extra bit of storage you’re looking for, why not go for something decorative? This Graphic Thread Basket is detailed yet simple in it’s design.

A soft cushion is the perfect way to mix and match warm hues adding that extra bit of ‘spice’ to your living room sofa

Add enviable colour to your table setting with this handcrafted Mug from Jars. Its vibrant amber-glazed glow interior will certainly brighten up your early morning cup of coffee. A full tableware collection is also available.

The soft cotton fabric from this jacquard duvet cover from Zara Home will leave you tempted to stay in bed after your alarm bells go ringing. Try contrasting it with some white pillows or layering it with some other warmer tones to create the perfect hibernation station.

Jacquard Duvet Cover, €59.99-79.99, Zara Home.

If it’s luxury you’re looking for, this stylish sofa ticks all the boxes with its sleek leather texture. Making it the perfect addition for those Netflix marathons or simply just hanging out entertaining friends.

Opollo Chaise Sofa, £2,590, Habitat.

On those long January days when you just want to close the curtains and curl up on the couch, these soft velvet curtains from H&M will keep you in the perfect hibernation mode.
