The Irish premiere of ALLIED took place in the Savoy Cinema, on November 22nd.
ALLIED is the story of intelligence officer Max Vatan (Pitt), who in 1942 North Africa encounters French Resistance fighter Marianne Beaus?jour (Cotillard) on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Reunited in London, their relationship is threatened by the extreme pressures of the war.
ALLIED is directed by Robert Zemeckis and stars Marion Cotillard, Brad Pitt,?Jared Harris, Matthew Goode, Lizzy Caplan and August Diehl. Writer Steven Knight said the movie is based on a true story personally told to him at the age of 21. Knight has been holding on to this story for over 30 years.
Guests at the event included Courtney Smith, Aoife Walsh, Anne Doyle and more.
ALLIED will be released in Irish cinemas on November 25th, 2016.
