Thursday 9th November, The Restaurant by Johnnie Cooke hosted an exclusive ‘Culinaire and Arts’ event celebrating art, exquisite food and Hennessy in the third floor restaurant at Brown Thomas Dublin.

Guests were welcomed to the event by Chef Johnnie Cooke and enjoyed a delicious selection of contemporary canapes. Paul Tuohy, Hennessy Brand Ambassador, introduced guests to the new Hennessy X.O over ice. Created by Maurice Hennessy in 1870 for his circle of friends, Hennessy X.O was the first cognac classified as X.O, or extra old, because of its extended aging process that to this day defines excellence in X.O cognac. The event also showcased an exhibition of six new “iconic super model faces” by Irish artist Duda whose art is “characterized by his appreciation for beauty, combined with his own take on modern day life & pop culture”.

Speaking at the event Chef Johnnie Cooke said: “I believe there is a similarity between the work I do as a culinary artist and that of visual artists like Duda. I’ve been a fan of David Duda’s work for a long time and I’m delighted to be able to host an exhibition of his newest pieces here in The Restaurant by Johnnie Cooke.”
