Brown Thomas Cork was also the place?to be for all things denim this weekend.?IMAGE Magazine?Editor?Rosaleen McMeel?and Influencer?Eimear Varian Barry hosted a free denim master class in?Brown Thomas?Cork yesterday and the globe-trotting stylist (and Cork native) was on hand to share the styling tricks that work all year-round – both with and without denim. ?Amid the rails and rails of jeans -16,255 pairs across 250 styles and 11 must-have brands – and prosecco, the talk?was all fashion and how to find the AW looks that make you look and feel like the best variation of yourself.

Eimear’s tip for making her denim work all year and regardless of the season is taking a little off:?”I often cut off the ends of my jeans. This works so well year-round; both with boots in winter, and sandals or heels in summer.” And in terms of finding your dream denim, she reinforced that it was so important to go with the pair that?works for your shape as opposed to what was on trend. “I think it’s important to know your body shape and work with it. I don’t wear boyfriend jeans because I don’t think they suit my height and shape: I have high, broad hips and a flat behind, so that style is quite unflattering on me. My body looks totally different to when I wear my preferred style, which is skinny and high-waisted.”

A number of different looks were also showcased on the day; the fashion show saw multiple denim styles put together with key pieces from various collections in Brown Thomas, all perfect for AW.

The workshop forms part of Brown Thomas? 16-day celebration of all things denim. To guarantee you find your perfect fit now or at any of our future events in Limerick and Galway, the Brown Thomas team of expert fitters will be on hand, sharing their tips to ensure you find the most flattering silhouette for your shape.
