Sexy Dads

Sexy Dads

I’m not going to delve too deeply into the reasons why this might happen. Regardless, the sexy dad phase is a real thing. It happened to me when I was in my third year in college. I remember it well. The norm in Trinity is for girls to fly through their four years fancying absolutely no one and dreaming of better, older men. Or maybe that was just me. I remember distinctly one balmy May afternoon on Kenilworth Square when a guy in an open shirt, longish hair and Ray-Bans cycled past me with a cute little girl in a baby seat. The child’s shoe fell off, and when he cycled back to where I was holding the tiny object (like a plonker) I let my mind run wild while he thanked me and made chitchat.

I presume the thing with the young dads is that taking care of children makes them adorable and also indicates that they’re on some level reliable and caring, which perhaps we’re biologically programmed to find attractive. An American blog for hip mums, Cafe Mom Studio created a little video series to harness the sexy young dads craze. The ?Hot Dads Doing Chores? videos are a must-watch. No judging…

And while we’re on the subject, anyone remember the Athena dad poster??athena_dad
