Aside from being enviable lovebirds, Katie and Johnny are the creative duo behind Cool and Co – Irish bespoke wedding stationers. Little wonder, then, that their bash was perfectly curated. The couple allowed the stationary to set the tone for the event; from the whimsical graphics (who knew aortas could be romantic?) to the endearingly unusual type setting, they nailed a unique aesthetic. Other key design elements included the gin bottle candle holders, succulents, ferns, candles and creme de menthe roses.

Deep greens, moody blues and the wood panel accents of Longueville House gave this wedding an eccentric kind of aristocratic elegance, exemplifying the couple’s vision. Oh, and the award for the “best morning after” goes to Katie and Johnny for the Bloody Mary bar they installed on Longueville’s lawn. Genius.

Stand out by staying true to your design direction – we love this wedding’s whimsical, moody feel.

THEIR GUESTS SAID No matter the connection to the bride and groom, Katie and Johnny’s guests all felt like family on the day. This was exactly what the couple had hoped for.

While we obviously adore the bridesmaid’s exquisite sage green dresses, we’re totally distracted (in the best possible way) by the three beardy groomsmen. Way to accessorise boys!

THEIR BEST MOMENTS Wanting the speeches to be more relaxed and informal, the couple had them on the grand staircase before dinner. This, in Katie’s words, was “totes emosh – we were both a mess after that part!”
