Princess Eugenie shares wedding video on one year anniversary

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s first wedding anniversary, and the royal posted a sweet Instagram from their big day to celebrate.

“This was the greatest day of my life…forever and always!” Eugenie captioned the post. “Happy one year anniversary, my Jack!!”

The video features a montage of behind-the-scenes footage from the couple’s royal nuptials. Viewers can see Eugenie get her hair and makeup done, guests enjoying themselves at the reception, and the newlyweds laughing together outside the chapel.

In what was a romantic, fairytale wedding, yesterday Princess Eugenie, Princess of York, married her long-term boyfriend Jack Brooksbank in St George’s Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle, a year ago today.

The bride wore an incredible Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos gown before making a unique statement with her fashion choice for the evening event; preferring a gown with colour as opposed to a similarly traditional white second outfit as both Kate Middleton and Meghan Marke opted for. It was inspired by the beauty of Windsor, the surrounding countryside and the “blush of an English rose,” according to designer Zac Posen who created the gown, especially for the princess.

Theirs was an undoubtedly more understated affair (as royal weddings go) than Prince Harry’s nuptials to Meghan Markle but, as reflected in the video, the couple seemed overjoyed to wed; they looked beautiful, relaxed and very much in love – there was a genuine connection between them, which didn’t go unnoticed by viewers or onlookers on the day.

The wedding was watched on an extended episode of UTV’s This Morning by an average of three million people (giving the channel its best ratings for the timeslot since William and Kate’s marriage in 2011), and was attended by many celebrities and a total of 850 guests, including Robbie Williams (whose daughter Theodora was one of the flower girls), Demi Moore and Cara Delevigne.
