Poldark Star Aidan Turner Is Now Single

STOP PRESS. Poldark star Aidan Turner, the Irish actor who made us all google the possibility of holidaying in Cornwall, is single. As in unattached. As in all those Sunday evening fantasies you indulged in while watching him scythe, see above, and talk about mining in the breakout BBC period may come true. They probably won’t, but they might.

The actor announced his five-year relationship with acclaimed Irish actress Sarah Greene had come to an end in an interview with The Telegraph. The star says the split was an?amicable one and the two plan to remain friends. Aidan wouldn’t go into details about the split, because he is a gentleman and is not the type to air his laundry in public. He prefers to remain stoic about the challenges life offers him. And topless. Or at least Ross Poldark, the character he portrays on the small screen’does.

Aidan told the newspaper that he only talks about his private life with great reluctance, “I like to keep my private life private for my own head, It’s important to me that people don’t know too much about me because I’m trying to play characters. Sometimes you see actors who are really good, but you have trouble separating that actor from the celebrity profile. I don’t want to be one of those guys. It helps that people don’t know a lot about me, I guess.” Aidan maintains he lives a boring life, that his day-to-day existence is ‘so bland. It’s like anybody else’s. There’s nothing there.? We could be there?
