One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson Is A Dad

The first One Direction baby has been born. Cue all the he’s “perfect” memes that will inevitably follow. Band member Louis Tomlinson has welcomed a baby boy with his ex-girlfriend, stylist Briana Jungwirth, according to People. This is the first child for them both.

Back in July, it was confirmed that the two were expecting a baby. Tomlinson later talked about the pregnancy on Good Morning America, saying, “Obviously it’s a very exciting time, so I’m buzzing.” The baby, who hasn’t been named yet, was born today.

The 24-year-old took the news well when it leaked into the public domain last year (we can’t say the same for his legions of fans, who had a tough time processing the news, especially after Zayn abruptly left the group), with a source connected to the couple saying, ?Louis is happy and very excited about becoming a dad, and he thinks Briana will be an amazing mother. It was a surprise at first, but he and Briana are very, very close friends, and this has brought them even closer.?

Though Tomlinson and the 23-year-old LA-based stylist are no longer together, the two have handled the situation very well and remain on great terms, according to reports. Louis even apparently bought a house in LA so he could support the mother of his child during her pregnancy.

The timing also appears to have been perfect (sorry), as now that the 1D guys are seemingly on an extended hiatus, Tomlinson will have some extra time on his hands to dote on his newborn son.
