Oh What a Night! Blog Award Winners

With sore but happy heads, this morning we reflect on the night that was, the inaugural IMAGE.ie Blog Awards that went down a storm at Fade Street Social.

As Ellie explained in her opening speech, we were inundated with all manner of brilliant blog entries, such that narrowing down a shortlist was an incredibly difficult task, the calibre was that strong. With the help of our esteemed judges, we eventually got there, and then it was up to you, the discerning public, to choose your winners! You voted in your droves and last night we were thrilled to announce the results to a full house at Fade St Social.

Welcoming guests from the wonderful world of Irish blogging along with friends of IMAGE.ie and IMAGE Magazine, the atmosphere was palpable as people enjoyed a glass of bubbly along with some tasty canapes. Once well oiled, Ellie kicked off proceedings as she announced the first award for the night, Best Lifestyle Blog.

If you were keeping up with us on the Twitter machine last night you’ll be well aware by now of who won what – we were trending in Ireland! – but for those that missed it, behold, the IMAGE.ie Blog Awards winners.

Best Lifestyle Blog – Pink Elephant Blog

Best Fashion Blog – Haute So Fabulous

Best Blog From a Business – April and the Bear

Best Beauty Blog – Lovely Girlie Bits

Best Travel Blog – Travel Pennies

Best Newcomer – Teddy & Alex

Best Interiors Blog – Suzie McAdam

Wildcard – Red Lemonade

Best Parenting – Office Mum

Best Food Blog – French Foodie in Dublin

Each winner made their way to the stage to the sound of rapturous applause and the constant ‘bing’ of Twitter notifications as their good news spread. Then it was on to the biggie; IMAGE.ie Blog of the Year, chosen by our panel of judges.

Whoever reigned supreme in this coveted overall category would win not only the glory of the title, but the chance to work with us here in IMAGE.ie, contributing their wonderful wares on a regular basis.

The winner was Minne Melange, otherwise known as the very lovely and highly regarded Sinead Burke.

MinneMelange.com is a blog in a league of its own, channeling Sinead’s passion for fashion and lots more as she makes her lasting mark on what can often be a crowded landscape. We’ll have more from Sinead later, but for now, it’s time to ogle at the photos – keep an eye on the Diary for the full set of shots!

On behalf of the team here at IMAGE.ie, we cannot thank you enough for entering, for voting, for coming, for tweeting, for your continued support and for making room for IMAGE.ie and all that we write in your busy lives. To all those that helped out on the night and made it happen, and our Beauty award sponsor – Catrice – we thank you. To the team at Fade St Social who ensured that our party went off without a hitch, hit us up for a whiskey; we like you.

To the incredibly talented Kate and Emer from Fab All Things who designed our photo-perfect awards, you’re a pair of legends. To our panel of judges, thank you for your time and expertise.

‘Til next year, folks!
