Here at Image Interiors & Living we’re huge fans of Danish design. From the use of calm palettes and simple forms to its clever practicality, it ticks all our interiors boxes. Whether you’re looking for a large piece of furniture or something as basic as a serving bowl, you can guarantee that Danish brands will have made one to catch your eye.
For anyone who might be new to the wonders of Danish design, or just wants an enjoyable scroll through the best it has to offer, we’ve made a list of the brands we always come back to.
Founded in 2002 with the aim to make good design available to a large audience, this Danish brand is known across the world for its simple yet perpetually stylish designs. They have collaborated with many designers over the years, ensuring their aesthetic is constantly refreshed. Slit table, from €159 and Silhouette sofa, from €2,889. Enamel range from €12.
Best for… Chairs, both dining and sofas, and we also love their fun kitchen accessories.
Creating simple yet contemporary designs, Normann Copenhagen is set apart by its ability to often do something just a little different. From smaller items such as ornaments, textiles, and even stylish cleaning products, up to larger pieces of storage furniture, there’s something for every room in your home. Cap table lamp, €350. Best for… They have a really extensive range of side tables, as well as lighting.
One of the more recent additions to the list, established in 2010, &Tradition use both the latest industrial processes and craft techniques going back years to create beautiful furniture and accessories. Best for… We can’t help but fawn over their armchair offering.
A classic Danish brand, making waves since the ‘60s, Stelton is the epitome of Danish design: simple, beautiful and functional. If you think kettles, serving trays and jugs can’t be stylish, go immediately to their website. Emma range, from €19.95. Pure black knives, from €74.95.
Best for… Any kitchen accessories, but we’re particularly in love with their Emma range.
