Much of the celebrity news we’ve heard of late has been tinged with sadness; break-ups have occurred left, right and centre. Which is why, it is always nice to hear the more uplifting news, and when it is announced accompanied by an adorable Instagram snap, all the better.
Laguna Beach star Kristin Cavallari gave birth to a little girl?and sweetly announced the birth of her daughter on social media.
This is the first daughter for Cavallari and her husband, US Chicago Bears quarterback, Jay Cutler. The couple already has two young sons, three-year-old Camden and 18-month-old Jaxon. With three children under 3, they have’definitely got their?hands full.
The proud parents have wasted no time in sharing their little bundle of joy’s somewhat unusual name. In the social media post, Cavallari announced that her daughter has been named Saylor James Cutler. It’s nautical, a little unconventional, very much on trend and similar to the route that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds went down when naming their daughter.
Cavallari recently revealed she was excited about the birth of her daughter and said that her newborn’s presence would serve to help the males in her family ?understand and respect women more.?
?She’s going to steal Jay’s heart, which will in turn melt mine!? the reality star told People. ?I’m excited for the boys to grow up with a sister. I think it will help them to better understand and respect women.?
Regarding her name choice, the 28-year-old added that she wasn’t looking to cement a place in the unconventional celebrity baby names club, but that she had chosen the name years ago.
“We picked out this baby girl’s name when I was pregnant with our first,? Cavallari explained. ?I met a woman and her dog, and I loved her dog’s name. Funny enough, it was the name she had picked out if she had a girl, but she had boys, so she used it for her dog instead.?
