It’s never too soon for a look at Søstrene Grene’s Christmas collection

It’s never too soon for a look at Søstrene Grene’s Christmas collection

Listen, we know Halloween is still a few days away but please don’t @ us for Christmas content and hear us out. If you want to get your hands on the new Søstrene Grene Christmas collection, you’re going to have to move fast, it hits stores this week and as always with Søstrene Grene drops, once it sells out it’s gone. And we’re betting there’s plenty that won’t make it to Halloween.

This festive season, Søstrene Grene have mixed the traditional Danish Christmas with a modern berry-hued twist, with simple ceramic and brass Christmas decorations mixed with old-fashioned biscuit tins and plenty of baking accessories. Here’s a look at what we’ll be buying from the new range.

Anyone who has been watching Bake Off  this season will recognise these aebleskiver from Danish week, but peel your eyes away from the pancake balls for just a second and check out the gorgeous semi-festive tableware. From €3.12 each, they’re perfect for Christmas visitors or all-year-round dining.

We love the simplicity of this candleholder bowl (€19.88) and a great space saver for a groaning Christmas table. Just fill the centre with some moss and a collection of evergreen steams and you’ve got a centrepiece and candle holder all rolled into one.

These rolls of leather string (€3.34) are a clever alternative to the traditional Christmas ribbon and can be easily reused as napkin holders once all the presents have been opened.

A mix of raspberry and blackberry colours flow throughout the collection and are a beautiful alternative to the traditional red and green. The placemats (€2.66 each) add plenty of depth and texture to the table and can easily be used throughout the year.

If you’ve collected any of the little Søstrene Grene house tealights over the years, the new collection will have a few more to add to your miniature street view. From the sweet cylindrical light houses (€3.08) to the petit buildings available in two sizes (€3.22), you’ll have plenty of architectural variety.
