This week we’re wishing we were snuggled up on one of these blue beauties…
Now that it’s September, the nights – to quote our mammies – are already closing in, and as we graduate into those crisper months, I can’t help but’start thinking about long autumn evenings curled up on the sofa.
Inspired by Adam Daghorn’s Deco-fabulous Elliston design (pictured above) for Marks & Spencer’s autumn collection, featured in our luxe-focused current issue, this week I’ve been admiring blue couches of all shapes, sizes and shades on Pinterest – from inky indigos to tactile teals.
In an ideal world, I’d be going home to?a sumptuous sofa like this one, which seamlessly brings together a sleek and modern living-room design by?Natalia S?nchez Echevarria. Its deep seats and lush fabric has me humming ‘Blue Velvet’ to myself as I type.
A close second favourite is this seriously stylish indigo number (photograph via?Felix Forest). The deep colour is set off perfectly by the charcoal wall finish and walnut cabinetry. Bonus points for the unique art display.
The innovative retail space of modish New York?lifestyle store The Line is conceived?just like an unbelievably beautiful lived-in apartment, so that their wares can be browsed “in the intimate context of a home”. With an envy-inducing address on SoHo’s handsome Greene Street,?The Apartment by The Line also has a navy suede tufted couch we’d just love to nestle down in.
