IFTA Nominations

See More Photos
The IFTAS have divided us between two camps for some time, those who cringe and turn puce at the thought of them, and those who think it’s a wonderful showcase of homegrown talent. But this year the 11th annual Irish Film and Television Awards are set to unite all parties; there is much to be proud of as the industry’s talent has been receiving recognition on an international level. Michael Fassbender’s role in 12 Years A Slave, along with Adam Leech’s part in Downton and Domhnall Gleeson’s role in About Time all land them nominations for big international movies. Actresses nominations include some particularly young actresses such as Jane McGrath, Antonia Campbell Hughes, Saoirse Ronan and 17 year-old Kelly Thornton. The crew section showcases some marvellous technical talent too, as usual. The awards will be held at The DoubleTree at the Burlington on April 5th with little to no squirming involved. For the complete list of nominees see below?
